The St. Leonard Foundation exists to foster a spirit of generosity and to provide support for demonstrated needs. The Foundation is building funds that will meet the St. Leonard community's changing needs and better the conditions of life for all those we serve.

The Foundation's vision is to energize the spirit of fraternal charity for the benefit of St. Leonard.

Mission Statement

The St. Leonard Foundation promotes and encourages Christian stewardship, serves as a resource and catalyst for charitable activities, and fulfills the interests of benefactors, with the intention of improving the quality of life for those who are a part of the St. Leonard community.

Philosophy Statement

St. Leonard Foundation is a Catholic not-for-profit organization, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio. It is directed, governed, and motivated by Christian principles and the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services. The St. Leonard Foundation is committed to funding St. Leonard programs and services that improve the quality of life and care to its residents and employees, as expressed in the Franciscan values of Reverence, Service, and Stewardship.

The philosophy of the Foundation is to maintain a balance between annual grant distributions and long-term investments. In addition, the Foundation is committed to conscientious, ethical fundraising strategies and fiscal policies that will lead to long-term growth.
