“Having spent 99 years taking care of myself, I cannot put into words how much I appreciate the assistance of St. Leonard with my final years. Having lived so long, I have seen many friends come and go. I truly am thankful for one last friend, St. Leonard and her staff.”

About the Kreative Korner

Several years ago, a group of St. Leonard residents agreed to meet twice a week to sew, knit, and enjoy each other’s company. Kreative Korner was born! Like a child, it expanded and “grew up” with the passage of time – currently Kreative Korner has approximately 20 members.

Our primary mission is to raise money for St. Leonard’s Benevolent Care Fund, and in recent years, we also contribute to the Employee Emergency Fund.

Members gather on Tuesdays and Fridays in the craft room/shop, which is located near the Auditorium. Members create many different items, which are for sale during the year for visitors, but the majority of our work, including a handmade quilt, is sold at the Kreative Korner Bazaar in early November, just in time for Christmas shopping!

We produce a great variety of items for sale, which allows for everyone’s skill level:

Doll Clothes

Baby clothes
Aprons
Needlepoint
Pillows
Knitted and crocheted garments and throws
Placemats
Flower arrangements

Many members work at home. By helping each other, we all learn to do new things and develop new interests while making new friends at the same time.

We invite all new residents to visit us, and we would be delighted to have you join us as we work for St. Leonard.
