About The Foundation

St. Leonard is a not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community serving more than 750 older adults of all faiths and walks of life.  St. Leonard Foundation exists to enhance lives of people within the St. Leonard community in support of St. Leonard’s mission:

Responding to the Gospel of Jesus,
St. Leonard assists seniors of all faiths
to achieve their highest level of independence.

St. Leonard Foundation was established in 2003 as a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization (E.I.N. 32-0102715). The Foundation is located on the campus of St. Leonard Senior Living Community, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458. Both St. Leonard Senior Living Community and St. Leonard Foundation are members of Sylvania Franciscan Health and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio.

St. Leonard Foundation manages the following funds backed by the expertise of Fifth Third Bank, Dayton, Ohio:

Greatest Need Fund – enhances  lives of older adults by providing for programs that assure compassionate care and promote all dimensions of wellness for St. Leonard community members.

Benevolent Care Fund – covers basic living expenses for St. Leonard residents who outlive their funds.  Gifts to this fund assure residents will not be asked to leave St. Leonard if they exhaust their financial resources, and provide peace of mind for residents and their loved ones.

Other special funds managed by St. Leonard Foundation include:
Activities Fund, Alzheimer’s Fund, Assisted Care Fund, Chapel Fund, Employee Emergency Fund, Franciscan Pilgrimage Fund, Health Care Center Fund, Herman’s Fund, Joseph Bernadin Residence Fund, Kreative Korner Fund, St. Elizabeth’s Garden Fund, and Veterans Fund.
