STNA

Category: Full-Time and Part-Time

Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the nurse in charge, the State Tested Nursing Assistant performs basic nursing duties to provide for the comfort, safety, and hygiene needs of residents. The State Tested Nursing Assistant assists residents in maintaining and possibly increasing their level of independence whenever possible.

Requirements
State Tested Nursing Assistant by State of Ohio or eligible for reciprocity. Must be willing to complete the Certified Dementia Practitioner course. Qualified candidates must possess a genuine heart for the aging population and an appreciate of a faith based environment.

Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

Category: Part-Time

Position Summary
Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for the delivery of safe and therapeutic resident care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and other members of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Delivery of quality nursing care is assured through utilization of the nursing process. Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a positive clinical role model for staff as well as a resource person and supports the philosophy, mission, and core values of St. Leonard.

Requirements
Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio. Long-term care experience preferred. Qualified candidates must be committed to our wellness philosophy and Franciscan values and possess an engaging personality.

Franciscan Home Care Services: STNA

Category: Full-Time

Position Summary
The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs.  The STNA is responsible for observing patients, reporting, and documenting these observations and documenting care performed.

Requirements
High school education or equivalent is required. At least 18 years of age. Must have completed a nurse aide training class approved by the Ohio Department of Health and passed the state test.  One year previous experience as STNA is preferred. Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given. Ability to be self-directing and to work with little direct supervision. Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired. Ability to show tact and patience. Must obtain or possess current BCLS certification. Valid driver’s license with automobile that is insured in accordance with organization requirements and is in good working order.  Qualified Candidates must be committed to our wellness philosophy and Franciscan values and possess an engaging personality.

Franciscan Home Care Services: Registered Nurse (RN)

Category: PRN

Position Summary
The Registered Nurse manages the care provided in the patient’s home by planning, coordinating, and providing direct and indirect care services in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies. The Registered Nurse will also provide backup to the Director.

Requirements
Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. At least one year of previous home care experience. Ability to work per diem with on call responsibilities. Must obtain or possess current BCLS certification. Ability to be self-directing and to work with little direct supervision. Franciscan Home Care Services: Social Worker

Category: PRN

Position Summary
Working with an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker assesses and promotes the social and emotional health and well-being of clients by providing services with the goal of affirming the their integrity, growth, and control over their quality of life.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university required. Must be a Licensed Social Worker. Ability to be self-directing and to work with little direct supervision. Valid driver’s license with automobile that is insured in accordance with organization requirements and is in good working order. Previous experience in home care preferred. Dining Attendant

The Dining Attendant provides table service to residents, guest, and staff.

Requirements

Station House Server

Category: Part-Time

Position Summary
The Server provides table service to residents, guests, and staff in the Station House Restaurant. This position is part time with no late hour requirements.

Requirements
Two full years of server experience in a full-service restaurant. Must meet the requirements for serving cocktails. Dining Attendant

Wellness Assistant

Category: Full-Time

Position Summary
The Wellness Assistant provides individual and group activities appropriate to the needs and interests of each resident to promote well-being and quality of life. The Wellness Assistant may care for both adults and older adults. The Wellness Assistant’s essential duties include:

  • Assisting with and implementing activities for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Visiting room-bound residents one-on-one on a daily basis, or as needed.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of and complying with policies and procedures of infection control, OSHA, safety, state, and federal laws.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of the Activity Professional 90-hour credit class preferred. Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday.
