Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the nurse in charge, the State Tested Nursing Assistant performs basic nursing duties to provide for the comfort, safety, and hygiene needs of residents. The State Tested Nursing Assistant assists residents in maintaining and possibly increasing their level of independence whenever possible.

Requirements
State Tested Nursing Assistant by State of Ohio or eligible for reciprocity. Must be willing to complete the Certified Dementia Practitioner course. Qualified candidates must possess a genuine heart for the aging population and an appreciate of a faith based environment.

Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Summary
Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for the delivery of safe and therapeutic resident care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and other members of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Delivery of quality nursing care is assured through utilization of the nursing process. Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a positive clinical role model for staff as well as a resource person and supports the philosophy, mission, and core values of St. Leonard.

Requirements

Busser/Dishwasher

Environmental Aide

Position Summary
The Environmental Aide is responsible for cleaning resident rooms and general related areas in the Health and Rehabilitation Center, main building, and other campus buildings as assigned.

Requirements
High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous health care experience preferred. Must be able to work 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and every other weekend. Director of Nursing

Category: Full-Time

Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the administration of assigned nursing units, including policy development, organizational planning, and development and monitoring of standards of gerontological nursing practices. The Director of Nursing also manages the direction of the delivery of geriatric nursing care and promotes public relations, education, and consultation within assigned units.

In addition, the Director of Nursing is responsible for the following duties:

  • Monitoring and improving the overall quality of nursing services provided at the Health and Rehabilitation Center (HRC).
  • Maintaining effective communication with interdisciplinary team, residents, families, physicians, and staff.
  • Performing activities related to residents’ nursing care needs, as necessary.
  • Participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of facility performance improvement program.
  • Collaborating with the Administrator to operate the HRC in accordance with established policies and procedures of St. Leonard.
  • Collaborating with the Staff Development Nurse to provide continuing training and education to the Nursing Department.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. At least 5 years clinical experience related to geriatric nursing, team building, interdisciplinary communication, leadership, and management required. Experience in long-term care facility, experience with MDS, care planning, working knowledge of Performance Improvement process, Point Click Care and EMAR experience preferred. Certified Gerontology Nurse preferred. Qualified candidates must be committed to our wellness philosophy and Franciscan values and possess an engaging personality.

Dayaway Resident Assistant

Category: Part-Time

Position Summary
The Dayaway Resident Assistant is responsible for providing assistance with personal care and activities for physically and cognitively impaired program participants. The Dayaway Resident Assistant may care for the following age-specific populations: adults and older adults.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience providing assistance with ADLs and working with physically and cognitively impaired adults preferred. Qualified candidates must be committed to our wellness philosophy and Franciscan values and possess an engaging personality.

Staff Development Nurse

Category: Full-Time

Position Summary
Working with the Staff Development Manager, the Staff Development Nurse assists with the administration of TB skin tests, Hepatitis B vaccines, and flu vaccines and assists with reminding employees who are due to complete their TB skin test or Sign and Symptoms form requirements. The Staff Development Nurse also tracks completion of mandatory in-services, flu vaccinations, and audits; assists with Career Ladder training; serves as the backup trainer for CPR and First Aid classes for employees; and completes exit interviews. Additionally, the Staff Development Nurse maintains the records of BBET, CPR, and First Aid certifications; assists with competencies for Nursing staff; completes paperwork for CPR and First Aid certifications; and provides other administrative support to the Staff Development Manager as needed.

Requirements
Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio with at least 4 years of experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
