DayAway Adult Day Care
DayAway
Adult Day Services at St. Leonard offers seniors who cannot or do not wish to be home alone an opportunity to interact with others in a wide range of activities. Guests take an active role in a supervised environment designed specifically for the cognitive or physically impaired. Our day is full of stimulating activity and interaction with others. This mental and physical stimulation is vitally important to the health of our DayAway Guest, but equally as important is the worry free respite this program provides family caregivers. DayAway services are available to residents and non-residents.

Two levels of service are available; one for the more active, social participant and one that addresses the individualized needs of the cognitively impaired.

DayAway is staffed with qualified personnel to assist your loved one throughout the day. Our manager directs day to day operations in providing a therapeutic balance of activities. Aides are trained to assist in programming and providing personal care assistance. A nurse is on duty to administer medication as well as a licensed social worker to assist family members with support and outreach referrals.

St. Leonard supports care givers by offering free Adult DayAway services during scheduled Support Groups hosted on our campus by the Miami Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. For more information regarding these support groups or Alzheimer’s disease please contact the Alzheimer’s Association at (800) 272.3900 or www.alz.org.

St. Leonard is certified by Passport, a community program that helps people obtain adult day services at little or no cost.
