Spiritual Services at St. Leonard's

St. Leonard Residents

The 4:00 P.M. Mass on Saturday and the 9:00 A.M. Mass on Sunday are primarily for those residents who reside here on campus. Because you are a resident there is no registration taken or weekly envelopes given for the offering/collection. All you need do is to attend the Mass of your choice.

Baskets are located on the blowers on either side of chapel. If you would like to give an offering just drop it in one of the baskets. It is collected immediately after Mass. The money from the offering is put into the General Chapel Fund.

When making out checks for the offering/collection for the 4:00 P.M. and 9:00 A.M. Masses, please make it out to St. Leonard Chapel.

Faith Community

Mass at St. LeonardThe Faith Community originated many years ago when the campus was a seminary. The people went to Sunday Mass in the chapel and eventually bonded. After the seminary closed, the people wanted to remain a community. They asked the Archbishop of Cincinnati if this was possible. The Archbishop responded with a "yes" but they would need to find their own pastor. They did just that.

The Faith Community operates autonomously from the resident community. They have their own mission statement, members register similarly to a parish and they have many ministries of which the members are involved. They are committed to creating a spiritual environment where the Holy Spirit comes alive through active worship and the offering of their individual and collective gifts. They are called to be a praying, caring, teaching and serving sign of God's presence.

MassThe Faith Community's style of worship is different from the residents' worship at the 4:00 P.M. and 9:00 A.M. Masses. You may want to take time to go and experience the various Masses on campus and then choose. The Faith Community is open to new members if you care to join. You do need to register if you choose to be part of their community.

When making out checks for the offering at the 10:30 A.M. Mass (Faith Community) make it out to "Faith Community."
